Carl Ander has photographed most of the available editions in our webshop.
Carl Ander (b. 1991) is a Swedish photographer and artist. After completing his MFA at the Valand Academy of fine arts, he has pursued a variety of both commercial and artistic projects. Clients include Audi, The Röhsska Museum and Liljewall Arkitekter. His work has been exhibited in Tokyo, Los Angeles, Oslo, Verona and Gothenburg.
Carl Ander is also part of the photographic duo Ander Sanner, together with Kalle Sanner. The duo works together on commissions, mainly for clients within the worlds of art, design and architecture. When they are not traveling for assignments, they operate out of their Gothenburg based studio, located in the neighbourhood of Majorna.
“The international photographic environment in which Kalle Sanner and Carl Ander operate places great demands on mastering different techniques and following a rapidly changing development, but also on a deeper knowledge of the meanings of photographic images in different contexts. The understanding of and movements between genres is a central aspect of the contemporary photographer’s competence. Sanners and Anders’ pictures have been executed and published in a number of different contexts, and if you look at how their projects work, the strength of the aesthetic attitude and the photographic methods becomes clear. What is particularly striking is how the image becomes extremely visible – and in a fascinating way, this highlighted attention also generates a sense of reality.”
